Materials - Laminated medium density fiberboard (MDF) with a high definition micro paper laminate.  All wood panels used in Sauder production are “Environmentally Preferred Product” (EPP) by the Composite Panel Association.  Rail clips, alignment clips and adaptor clips are polypropylene and metal wall clips are galvanized steel.

Physical Data Summary -

Fire Performance (ASTM E84) - available in both a Class C and a Class A Fire Rated wood ceiling panel. Fire Rating is based on the ASTM E84-11a test for surface burning characteristics of building materials. This test method is also published under the following designations: NFPA 255 UL 723 UBC 8-1.  Class C performance- Flame Spread 100, Smoke Developed 100.  Class A performance- Flame Spread 20, Smoke Developed 185.

Weight - WoodTrac ceilings with Class “C” Panels weigh 1 lb per sq foot. Class “A” ceilings weigh 2 lbs per sq foot.

Warranty - Woodtrac ceilings are backed with a 5 year warranty to protect against product defects.

LEED Credits - WoodTrac ceilings can help your project gain LEED Credits in the Materials and Resources (MR) category.

MR 4.1- Recycled Content - WoodTrac ceilings are made up of 80 percent recycled content (75% pre-consumer, 5% post-consumer).

MR 5.1, 5.2- Regional Materials- WoodTrac ceilings are produced in Archbold, OH.



MR7- Certified Wood - WoodTrac ceilings are FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.  All wood panels used in Sauder production are “Environmentally Preferred Product” (EPP) by the Composite Panel Association.
